Most chapters have a keynote speaker at an annual dinner that highlights and awards key stakeholders that have contributed in positive ways to the community. Most identify religious, education, civil rights, corporate, community service and community organization.
The main objective are identifying key stakeholders to receive awards who will also grow the Greater Bridgeport NAACP base, meaning they will bring in their contacts to make us stronger. There has always been strength in numbers and this is the year that we show the greater Bridgeport area and beyond that the Greater Bridgeport NAACP is a powerful, dignified force to be reckoned with.
