The Committee on Housing shall: (1) Study housing conditions in the local community; (2) Receive and seek to address complaints of discrimination, (3) Oppose all restrictive practices whether public or private; and (4) Disseminate information and render such other assistance which may eliminate discrimination in housing.

The Committee on Housing shall also:

Recruit new membership to increase committee size and scope.

Interface with various Directors of Housing and other leaders in the Greater Bridgeport Area,

Collaborate on initiatives and events designed to foster home ownership, prevent foreclosures, and eradicate neighborhood blight, particularly in minority neighborhoods hardest hit by the housing crises.

Be vigilant against predatory lending practices targeted at citizens who are most vulnerable.

 Together we are going to make the Greater Bridgeport NAACP the place over the rainbow, where every person will have his dream life.
